Requirements

The following are the requirements necessary to install, activate, and use iFig Reader.

  • Minimum Requirements
    • Windows 2000 with SP4 or later
    • Pentium III compatible processor or higher (minimum speed 600 MHZ)
    • Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 (This software component will be automatically installed during setup if it is not already installed on your computer).
    • SQL Server Express 2005  (This software component will be automatically installed during setup if it is not already installed on your computer).
    • Microsoft Report Viewer (This software component will be automatically installed during setup if it is not already installed on your computer).
    • 192 MB RAM or higher (this minimum is for the SQL Server database engine's use only and does not reflect additional memory requirements of the operating system).
    • Your display must be configured to render at the standard 96 Dots Per Inch (DPI).
    • Internet connection An internet connection is required ONLY to register and activate your iFig Sets with the MiliTek web server. Subsequent TM updates can either be downloaded from the MiliTek web server, or installed manually.
    • Hard Drive space. You will need approximately 100 MB of free disk space per parts manual.
  • Recommended Requirements
    • Windows XP with SP2
    • 1 GB RAM The iFig technology utilizes a modern relational database. Your performance will generally be better with the largest amount of RAM you can obtain.
    • 1GHz or higher processor

At a minimum, you will want to run the catalog update utility with your FedLog disks to ensure your catalog is up to date.
