Configuring the Live Update Utility

The Live Update Utility allows you to choose how you want change packages delivered and installed on your computer. There are 4 possible settings:

Automatic: Instructs the Live Update Utility to check for published change packages during the day and time of your choosing. If a change package is available and your subscription is current, the Live Update Utility will automatically download and install the change package to your computer. This is the default and recommended option.
Download Only: Instructs the Live Update Utility to check for published change packages once a day at a random time chosen by the utility. If a change package is available and your subscription is current, the Live Update Utility will automatically download the change package but it will NOT install it on your computer. You will be notified that a change package is available for installation from the icon and message displayed for the iFig Set on the Live Update Activity form.
Notify: Instructs the Live Update Utility to check for published change packages once a day at a random time chosen by the utility. You will be notified that a change package is available for installation from the icon and message displayed for the iFig Set on the Live Update Activity form.

Off: Completely turns off the Live Update Utility. You can always manually check for updates by clicking on the Check for Updates Now button located on the Live Update Activity form.
